Videoland forward Jonathan Sanders was named SBL Monthly MVP for April/May Thursday. The U.S. import led Hunters to a 7-2 record in the last four weeks of the regular season and the second place finish (21-9) in the overall standing, averaging 25.1 points, 18.2 rebounds and 3 assists in nine games.

Sanders received 42 points in the media voting. Dacin forward Tien Lei ranked second with 16 points while Yulon forward Chen Hsin-an was third with 14 points.

As SBL playoffs tip-off Friday, Sanders said VL is ready for its first round opponents Taiwan Beer but would never take anything for granted, although VL enjoyed a 4-1 record vs. TB in the regular season.

VL head coach Liu Chih-wei described Sanders as Hunters' "last piece of the puzzle" in its quest for the SBL crown.
