Tien Lei, Dacin handed VL first loss

Tien Lei scored 24 of his 26 points in the second half as Dacin Tigers overcame a double-digit deficit and upset Videoland 83-70 Sunday, snapping VL's league-high seven-game winning streak.

Dacin's second-year point guard Su Yi-chieh added 16 points, including 10 in the final period, 7 rebounds and 4 assists on his 20th birthday. Dacin was back to .500 with four wins and 4 losses while Videoland was 7-1.

Dacin trailed 45-32 at the half but closed the third quarter with a 9-0 run to cut the deficit to four. Chang Chi-feng added 15 points, 6 boards and 6 assists in the game. Lin Yi-huei had 15.

VL forward Jonathan Sanders failed to reach double-double for the first time, collecting 20 points and 7 rebounds. Yang Che-yi had 16 and Lee Wei-min had 12. Lee Chi-yi added 10 points.

Yulon 84-79 Taiwan Beer
Chen Hsin-an exploded for his season-high 36 points as Yulon edged Taiwan Beer 84-79 with a little help from the referees for its six straight win after a 0-2 start.

Tsun Wen-din, who had 19 points, 12 rebounds and three block in the game, completed a three-point play to put Yulon on top 80-77 with 29.8 seconds to go. TB point guard Hsu Hao-cheng was whistled for a 5-second violation in the next play while inbounding the ball with 23.4 seconds remaining.

It was obvious that Hsu took less than four seconds to inbound the ball. The controvercial call literally eliminate TB's chance for its last shot.

Chen Hsin-an shot 15-of-23, which was an unusual for him this season. Liu Shen-yao added 11.

Taiwan Beer almost erased a 12-point halftime deficit and pulled out a comeback victory before the 5-second violation call. Center Wu Chih-yuan led with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Lin Chih-jay also had a double-double with 14 and 12. Lo Shin-liang had 15 while Ho Sho-jen added 14.
