
Tourney MVP Yuki Mitsuhara, Akita Noshiro Tech
Led by 198cm center Yuki Mitsuhara, who had 15 points and 14 rebounds, Japan's Akita Noshiro Technical High School beat Taiwan HBL All-Stars 92-79 to win the men's title of the 2007 International High School Basketball Tournament in Taipei.
Mitsuhara, who is on Japan's U-18 national team, was named MVP of the tourney and led the tournament in rebounding and blocked shots. Takumi Hasegawa added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists.
Taiwan was led by point guard Yang Cheng-lun's 22 points and 7 assists.

Kitsilano High School edged Samil Commercial High School (South Korea) 79-76 to finish the third-place in the boys' group.
In girls' group, Osaka Kun-ei Girls' High School of Japan beat Taiwan HBL All-Stars 71-60 in the girls' group title game. Okcheon Commercial High School won third-place while Kitsilano High School ranked last.
