Unheralded Chang wins BOW award

Little-used BOT guard Chang Bo-sheng was voted for Week 7 Baller of the Week after coming out of nowhere and leading the bottom-dweller for a 2-1 week.

Chang, who had averaged less than 6 points in the first 13 games, exploded for 38 points in the win over Taiwan Mobile and followed that with a 21-point outing in a upset of league-leading Yulon, snapping BOT's 10-game losing streak to the Dinos.

The second-year guard, nicknamed "Trumpet" by his high school teammates for his outspoken nature, averaged 22.3 points and 3.3 rebounds for the week. He connected on 10-of-15 three-pointers in the game vs. TM.

Prior to this week, Chang was best remembered for his 30-point explosion in his last high school game. He led Tsaishin HS to the HBL championship. Chang also named Newcomer of the Year of the UBA in his freshman year in the university league.

Known for his scoring explosiveness, Chang said it was not till this week that he understood his role on the team after BOT coaching staff asked him to focus on scoring.
