Ho Sho-jen (SF, 195cm), one of the four high schoolers on Taiwan NT, flew back to Taiwan after the preliminary round to be with his ill father. Ho's father is said to be in critical condition.
Upon knowing the serious illness of Ho's father, Taiwan NT coaching staff decided to let Ho drop out of the championship and head back to Taipei as soon as possible. Ho, the youngest of four children in the family, will not be back in the ABC Championship. He was accompanied by Cheng Chih-lung, who was going back to Taiwan to start his campaign for the legislator election after finishing China's Division II season.
