Chen Ying-chun scored 24 points and Yu Chun-an added 19 as Taiwan defeated Tunisia 70-59 in the classification round (13-16 place) of the FIBA U19 World Championship for Men in Latvia.
Taiwan will meet China Wednesday to vie for the 13th place finish.
Taiwan did not back down after trailing 29-28 at the half with forward Hu Lung-mao sitting out the game due to a sprained ankle. Chen tallied his personal-best in the tourney to go with eight rebounds and six assists while backup shooting guard Yu made five three-pointers en route to his tournament-high output.
Taiwan was 9-for-19 from the three-point territory.
China beat Korea 95-88 in the other classification game.
